Sleek Face Form Contouring Kit Review

I have to say I buy most of my drugstore products from Boots because of the advantage points but I do make a special trip to Superdrug every now and then to have a look at the Sleek stand. I think Sleek are one of my favourite drugstore brands and they are probably one of the cheapest too.
I think all the products have fantastic packaging and I think Sleek do a great job of creating dupes for high end products, like the packaging for example which is just like NARS.
I love all the blushes they do, they are highly pigmented and they do a wide range of
shades for all skin tones my favourites are Pixie pink and Pomegranate and unbelievable they are only £4.49!
I use the Brow kit from Sleek which is only £8.49 and I would say it is just as good as the HD brow palette. I don't understand how high end brands can put such hefty price tags on products that do the same job as drugstore dupes.
The most recent purchase I made from Sleek was there Face Form Contouring Kit for £9.99. This palette consists of a contouring powder, Highlighting powder and Rose Gold blush ( which is a gorgeous shade). I love this palette it is so handy to have three products all in one place especially for travelling. The mirror in it is huge which is great for when I'm on the train and I want to do my makeup.
The bronzer is supposed to be a dupe for NARS Laguna and I think the colour of it is a great match, (its not too orange) but it's not as pigmented, the highlighting powder is perfect its not too shimmery it just gives a nice glow. I just apply it to the top of my cheek bones.
Then the blush is the star in this palette, it is a gorgeous shimmery golden pink shade. It is highly pigmented so you hardly need any product on your brush so this will last you forever!

If you haven't already tried out a Sleek product I would definitely recommend the brand, it makes fantastic high end dupes for a really affordable price.

My Top 5 Summer Nail Polishes

I love it when the sun comes out and I can start to wear my bright clothes and my fake tan! And what's even better is you can start to switch up your make up routine slightly, using more bright shades on the eyes, lips and nails.
I have to admit I cant pull off bright eye shadow it just doesn't suit me so I tend to stick to my neutral eye shadows and play around with some colour on my lips and nails.
In the Summer I change my nail colour nearly everyday because I like to wear bold colours I find that they don't match all my outfits so I do have to change it up more often but I love a new look everyday!
Just so you know I wear OPI Nail Envy as my base coat and OPI top coat with all these.

Loreal Paris Color Riche - So Chic Pink - I love this colour its a pink coral colour that is just fab for summer as it looks great when I have tanned. As for the polish it has a good thick brush, stays on really well without chipping and the colour is really strong even with one coat. I just wish the bottles were bigger they are only 5ml and even when there is some left in the bottom it is normally hard to get out.
They are £4.99 from Boots.

This is another Loreal Color Riche - Flashing Lilac - This is my favourite I absolutely love the colour and it goes with most things I wear, It is a bright lilac pink colour. It really vibrant and shiny. Definitely would recommend this shade.

The next two are from the Barry M Gelly Hi shine Collection. I have a few shades but these are my favourites - Greenberry and Blueberry. I love these polishes they are super pigmented you only need one coat and they stay on forever without chipping. It really is like having a gel manicure but cheaper as these are only £3.99 each and they are normally on some sort of offer in Boots or Superdrug! The colours are really unique and Barry M have a really wide range of shades to choose from.

The last one I want to show you is a Leighton Denny Polish in the colour Leading Lady. It is a lot more neutral than the others but you always need a soft pink nude in your collection and this is my favourite. This goes on really nicely and is highly pigmented and super shiny but without a top coat this won't even last me til the end of the day but if you wear it with a good top coat it is fine. I love how I can wear it with anything and it still looks like a summer nude.

Let me know what your favourite summer polishes are :)

Loreal Lumi Magique Primer & Foundation Review

I actually bought the Primer from this collection a while ago and I loved it but I started using my Nivea Hydration Primer which is amazing for my dry skin so unfortunately it just went to the back of my drawers but when I recently bought the foundation I thought I would try using them together. This can be used under or over foundation to give you that "glow from within" look. I use it as a primer under my foundation and even with a different foundation it gives luminosity and radiance to the skin but using it with the foundation from the collection it just looks great on my dry skin. I don't think it really acts as a primer it doesn't hold my foundation in place for any longer than without it but it is more of a highlighter I would say.

I bought the Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation from Boots about a week ago and I have used it everyday I really do love it! I suffer from dry skin so I never want to wear a matte foundation I like that natural dewy finish but of course there is a difference between a natural glow and looking oily. This foundation gets the balance right its a medium to full coverage with a natural finish and its not oily or heavy at all.
I don't really like to wear a powder as I feel it clings to my dry patches so I  need a foundation that will last without it and this definitely does, maybe not as much as my favourite foundation of all time Jemma Kidd Light as Air but for £10.99 it is a lot cheaper and still does a great job.
I went for a shade darker than I would normally because I have fake tanned and it matches really well, I think there are only 6 shades which is a slight let down.
I think this foundation applies really nice with my fingers so I can really work it into my skin, I love the glow it gives your skin but I would be careful if you do have oily skin as this may be too shiny you cold try using a powder but to be honest I think there are better foundations out there for oily skin.

Naked 2 Urban Decay Vs MUA Undress Me Too Eye Shadow Palettes

I bought the Urban Decay Naked 2 about 3 months ago and I have used it every single day since. I absolutely love it, it's great for day looks with it range of matt nude shades but it's also great for that smoky eye with the lovely dark shimmery shades. My favourite shades are Booty Call (as a brow highlighter), Half Baked (which is great in the inner corner), YDK (which I love all over the lid) and then Busted and Blackout (for the outer crease). If you like bright colours on your eyes then this is not for you but if you like natural shades this will be perfect for you!

The palette is £35 and I would definitely say it is worth every penny but if you want it to last you I would definitely recommend buying the MUA Undress me too palette as it is only £4 and some of the shades are actually so similar its untrue. I have been using this everyday for work and just using my Naked 2 for special occasions. If I had to choose between them then of course I would go with my Naked 2 as the shades are slightly more pigmented especially the lighter shades and the packaging is a lot better plus it comes with a really good eyeshadow brush but in my opinion if you want a back up or a cheaper version then the MUA palette is brilliant!

I think Corrupt in the MUA palette is rubbish actually and really lets it down because I love using Blackout in the Naked 2 its great for in the outer crease, and under the bottom lashes too.

Please leave comments and if you have tried both then let me know what you thought :)

St.Moriz Instant Self Tanning Mousse Review

I was beginning to think my summer wardrobe was not going to get used this year but last week we had a few days of gorgeous sunshine and I had a chance to wear some of my summer skirts & dresses but as this is the first bit of sun we have had in the uk this year my skin was obviously still very pale so I wanted to give myself that summer glow!
I have very pale and sensitive skin so I would never even think about going on a sunbed and even when the sun does shine i don't tan very well either so for me fake is the way forward. I love having a tan I think it makes you feel happier, slimmer and healthier!
I have tried so many tans some cheap and some expensive and I never thought my favorite tan would cost £2.99 but it is!
I buy this tan from b&m and i get it in dark which sounds strange as I have said I am very pale but to be honest it really doesn't stay dark for long, once you wash off the first layer it just leaves me with a lovely natural looking tan.
I apply the tan with a mitt, i apply all my tans with mitts as i just think it gives a more natural less streaky result. I apply it at night time not straight before i got to bed it's normally a few hours before then it has all soaked in properly but it actually does dry in seconds.
When you first apply the tan it does look quite full on and dark but don't worry even if you have a few bad patches they will all wash off in the morning, don't forget to moisturize though !!
If you moisturize this tan lasts really well and after about 3 days i just exfoliate and apply a new layer.
I love this tan and you can pile on as much as you want as the price means you can buy a new bottle every week if needed.

Please leave me some comments telling me your favourite tan :)

Mini Haul - Mac, miss selfridge, lush

I went on a day trip to Liverpool today, it was my first time and wow the shopping was amazing. All the shops I love in one place meant I spent way too much money! Although I could have spent a lot more!

The weather was lovely too so we sat outside at Red Hot World Buffet and had lunch. This place is fantastic, it is an all you can eat buffet with foods from all round the world plus it has a chocolate fountain for desert all included in the price!!

I had a shopping list in my head before I got to the shops to prevent me going mad and it did actually work. I looked at a lot of products and Beauty Bazaar at Harvey Nichols was the hardest place to resist temptation but I did manage to!

I went to the Mac store in there and they did all my make -up and used some fantastic products that I loved and in the future I will probably buy but at the moment I am saving so I only got 3 things which where all on my original wish list. I got 2 lipsticks which I have wanted for a while now they are both nude pink shades but I love them for summer time! The first one I picked up was Hue which is a glaze lipstick it is a really lovely nude shade which I love for the summer as I am starting to wear brighter coloured clothes so I like to wear a soft nude on my lips to contrast rather than a bright lip and a bright top as I think that can sometimes look abit too much. The second one was Crème Cup which is a crème sheen lipstick so it is quite moisturising especially in this hot weather.

I was on the hunt for a new foundation to try and as I have nearly tried all the drugstore foundations I thought I would splash out on a more expensive brand. I did get colour matched for Nars Sheer Glow but I felt like the coverage wasn't enough for me so I went to Mac and spoke to the lady on the counter and explained I had dry skin and she initially recommended face & body but again the coverage is light which isn't great for me. In the end I went for Mineralize Moisture SPF15 Foundation in the colour NW20 which is a medium coverage and great for dry skin.

I also went into Miss Selfridge as I was looking for an outfit for my Boyfriends Birthday Party. I tried this on and totally fell in love with it. I feel really comfortable in it and I think it flatters my figure well. It is a just black chiffon playsuit but I think I will jazz it up with a bold statement necklace and some nice heels.

The last thing I got was something I have seen talked about quite a lot and as I suffer from dry lips I thought I would give it a try. I couldn't decide on the flavour to get so I got 2 the BubbleGum & Popcorn. They are from Lush and cost £5.25.

Drugstore Beauty Haul

I left the house this morning knowing full well I had to pop into town to pick up a few things but I definitely remember telling myself "you don't need anything beauty related" but here I am sat at my laptop about to show you my MINI haul !!
Some how I ended up in Superdrug and Boots and just couldn't resist buying these few products all of which are totally necessary!!

The first product I picked up in Superdrug is apparently a dupe for the Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette which I already have so to be honest I really didn't need to buy this but it was only £4 and I use my naked palette everyday so this is a nice cheaper option if it is as good of course. I will be doing a review when I have used it.
MUA Undress Me Too Eye Palette £4

Next up also from Superdrug is one of the Gelly Hi Shine Nail Paint by Barry M, I already have a few of the shades in this collection but I have been looking for this one "Pomegranate" and it is usually sold out so I grabbed it whilst it was available!!

I picked up two Rimmel Scandaleyes Eye liners in Black & Nude. These have been talked about so much in blogs and so I really wanted to try them. I'm sure they will amazing and they are waterproof too which is

great!

I got 3 for 2 in Boots so I picked up  Bourjois Effect 3D gloss with action balm hydration. I got this in the shade 33 Brun Poetic it is just a very pale pink nude which I bought to just go over my lipsticks to try to stop them drying out so quickly.

Please leave comments if you like my post I love reading them,

SEVEN DEADLY SINS OF BEAUTY TAG

I have just moved house and my internet has just come back today so I am going to be going crazy catching up on all my blogging ! Whilst i was away i was tagged in this by the lovely Belle Bolton at Mascara and Maltesers.

1) Follow and link up the person who tagged you
2) Answer the questions on greed, wrath, gluttony, sloth, pride, lust and envy.
3) Tag as many people as you wish! Be sure to let them know!
4) Let the person who tagged you know that you did the tag by linking up in the comments!

Greed- what is your most expensive beauty item?
I really am a huge fan of drugstore for make up products i don't think you can get better but as i have got older i have realised that when it comes to skin care you have to pay more to get the products that actually do what they say they are going to do. I have spent alot of money on getting my skin care routine perfect and i have a range of Liz Earle products that really work for me.

Sloth- which product do you neglect the most due to laziness?
I hate spending loads of time and loads of money on lots of products , I like one product to do a few different jobs. My Liz Earle Cleanse and polish is all i use in the morning and at night. I don't want to spend ages exfoliating, cleansing, toning i want a one step miracle!

Wrath- which item do you have a love/hate relationship with?
I don't really have many products I hate and love, if a product doesn't suit me I just probably wouldn't use it anymore even if one day i liked it because i would rather have a small collection that i love!

Gluttony- what brand makes up most of your make-up collection?
This is easy to decide - Rimmel, like i said i love drugstore and this brand are by far my favorite! I love Rimmel Wake me up foundation, Stay Matte Powder and I have so many of there lipsticks. All the products are great for my skin and I find them very pigmented. I can't find better although i do love mac lipsticks!

Pride- which product gives you the most confidence?
This has to be my foundation , i have a few blemishes around my chin and if i didn't have a base on to cover them up I would feel very uncomfortable, I also wouldn't like to live without my mascara it opens up my eyes and makes my look fresh and awake.

Lust- which item is at the top of your beauty wish list?
There is just so many especially as i watch Youtube as soon as something is mentioned in a favorites video i just want it , I really would like to try Bio Derma, i have never been to Paris so have never been able to get my hands on a bottle but now its coming to the uk i can't wait to try it!

Envy- which make up product/look is great on others but not yourself?
Dark and smoky eye make up always looks great on other people but when i try it just looks so heavy and smudged and i total mess to be honest. I would like to get my make up professionally done just to see if it is me doing it wrong or it just doesn't suit me.

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser

Before I begin my total rant of love for this product I want to explain to everyone my skin type and my skin problems , as there are quite a few of them!
I have probably one of the most hard work skin types with the majority of my face, especially over my nose onto my cheeks and forehead, are extremely dry. So of course i use products specifically designed to help target my dry patches and yes maybe they do work but after a few days I have a major break out !!
I only seem to suffer from spots around my chin area ( i don't have a clue why!) but of cause when i opt for a spot treatment product they are oil-free which in turn dries out my skin further.
This is like a horrible circle that i couldn't break out of until I tried the hot cloth cleanser, it really has completely changed my skin routine, I no longer need a million products some for dry/sensitive skin, some for oily skin, spot treatments the list goes on and on. Now all i use in the morning and evening is this product and I really can't see that changing anytime soon this really has quickly become my holy grail product!
This is one of the most effective products I have ever used it seems to target every problem i have on my face without making the others worst, it has cleared up my spots and also really tamed my dry skin ! It is also very easy to use so if you are like me and are always rushing around in the morning this will be great , all you need to do is apply one pump onto dry skin , brush your teeth then use the cloth which comes with it to wipe away the excess cream, it really is simple and although the price may not be great for beginners the simplicity definitely is !
It costs £14.75 for a 100ml pump but i actually bought mine on qvc so i got it at a better price although now i have tried it i would pay the full price for this product.
I now have clearer, softer skin which makes applying my make up so much easier and my foundation no longer clings to them horrible dry patches!
If you have any other suggestions for great products for my skin type please let me know.
