Right - Eye Liner in Veruschka Mink

I thought I would give you a little look at my ever growing Charlotte Tilbury collection. I was so excited when I first heard of this launch and I knew I had to get my hands on a few pieces from the collections. Behind this brand is a fantastic idea which basically makes every girls life a hell of a lot easier. Charlotte has designed 10 different looks, all of which are designed with a certain style, skin tone, eye colour and time of day in mind. So for example you can pick up the Rock Chick look which gives you everything you need to create the look from foundation , to eyeshadow, to mascara , lips and everything in between. Although I think this is a fantastic concept for people maybe just starting out in make up I found it particularly hard to find one box which had all the shades I wanted so in the end I did a little bit of mix of match.

I just picked up the pieces which I really loved and the shades that I felt would suit me best and I'm glad I did that rather than being restricted to that one look. I can't wait to pick up some more from Charlotte Tilbury the few bits I have already tried have blown me away! All the products are super pigmented, super long lasting and you can just tell a lot of time and effort has gone into the products, although saying that the price certainly shows that too!

The prices are very high end but unlike some high end products I have tried these definitely deserve the price tag and I have a lot more products on my Christmas list so hopefully if I'm a good girl I will have another post in the new year showing you my new additions to my collection.

Eyeshadow Palette £38
Lipstick £23
Lip liner £16
Eye liner £19
Eyeshadow Stick £19
Look in a Box £165

Nars Vs Maybelline Lip Pencils

I have been waiting to do this post for a while now purely until I had more shades. I picked up my first Nars Satin Lip Pencil in the shade Biscayne Park, this is the swatch at the bottom, a few months ago now and I fell in love with it, it was so easy to apply as the pencil was sharp enough to act as a lip liner as well. The formula was creamy and comfortable on the lips but lasted a really long time. The next one I picked up was yet again another Nars one this time in a bright fushia pink shade as I knew how long lasting these where I wanted to pick up a shade more for evenings and going out to avoid the whole nipping to the loo to touch up situation!

I loved these Nars lip pencils and I would have continued to carry on picking up a new shade every time I went into Space NK that is until my purse breathed a sigh of relief when Maybelline brought out a dupe in the form of  their Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencils. These are incredible I cant explain how similar they are to the Nars ones in consistency, in lasting power, in pigmentation maybe the shade range isn't as good as Nars but give them time!

I have already picked up 3 shades, Nude Perfection (top swatch), Minimalist (2nd swatch) and Keep it Classy (4th swatch). They are all beautiful shades and if I gave you all 5 together I don't think anyone could pick out the 2 high end ones, well I certainly couldn't anyway! I will definitely be picking up the rest of the Maybelline shades and keeping my fingers crossed that my local Boots get more shades so I can add to my collection!

Nars Satin Lip Pencil £18 each
Maybelline Intense Velvet Lip Pencil £4.99 but they are on 3 for 2 in Boots

Let me know what you think and thanks for reading

Rimmel Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paint

This is yet another Rimmel product review!! Sorry Everyone :)
This one is another great product but to be  honest I already have a very similar product, which does the same job and is practically the same colour as well, so really I didn't need this product but you know I obviously "had" to try it anyway!!

These are the new Scandaleyes Eyeshadow Paints which come in 5 shades, I got the one in Rich Russets which is a lovely golden taupe colour. These are great used as bases for shadows because they seriously do not budge. They are waterproof and crease proof and apparently last for 8 hours!!

Every brand seems to be bringing out these stay on all day type of cream shadows and once you have a few colours from one brand there really isn't any point in buying anymore unless a certain brand bring out an amazingly beautiful shade which in this case Rimmel haven't they are all just similar to the Maybelline 24hr Tatoo ones which I already have.

I think if you don't have any waterproof cream shadows then these are great to try, but really they are no better and no worst than all the other products of the same nature out there.
These in my opinion, bearing in mind I already own a wide range of the Maybelline 24hr ones, are a waste of money and to be honest I think Rimmel are slightly behind the times here!!

Rimmel Scandaleyes Thick & Thin Eyeliner Review

Rimmel is my favourite drugstore brand and whenever they bring out new products I am straight in Boots buying them!!
This works out very expensive but too be honest it is very rare that I am not really impressed with the Rimmel products I purchase and this product is no different, it is another really great product from Rimmel.
I have been using the Maybelline Gel Eyeliner recently and I love it but it can be quite time consuming especially in the morning when I'm rushing getting ready for work, so this eyeliner which is more like a felt tip pen is really handy and easy to apply.
It has a 3D tip so you can choose whether you want a thick or a thin liner and I also find it great to use the thin side to get into the corner of my eyes then the thicker side to wing it out.
I find this really easy to use and on nights out I love using my gel eyeliner but then I pop this in my handbag and use it for touch ups. Plus this is waterproof so if you used your gel eyeliner then went over the top with this then it will not go anywhere all day/night!!
I am saying use this over the top of your gel eyeliner because I don't find this black enough for me. I like quite a strong liner especially at night and this on it's own just isn't pigmented enough but over the top of another more highly pigmented liner it will just hold everything in place. Although in the day when you don't want such a strong eye this is great.

There is a downside to this product and I'm not sure if it is just mine or not but I find that it is very dry as if it is going to run out soon, like a felt tip pen does, but that can't be as I only got it the other day. This may also be the cause of the colour pay off not being great and the only thing I can think of is that I have picked up one that was used to test in the store.
Let me know if you have tried this and what you thought.

Max Factor Wild Mega Volume

I would like to start by saying I think I am in the minority with my opinions of this mascara. I haven't heard very good things about it at all so when I picked this up I really wasn't expecting anything special at all.
But to my surprise and probably to you reading this I actually really liked this mascara!!!
This is my first ever Max Factor mascara and if this is the worst of them (according to most people) I can't wait to try some others from this brand.

I normally use two mascaras anyway, one for lengthening my lashes and one for adding volume to them and I found this mascara particularly good at adding volume to my already separated and curled lashes.
Most drugstore mascaras do take alot of work, you have to add layers upon layers to get the desired effect and this one is no different but in the end the mascara does it's job!!
I find the wand quite chunky so it isn't great at separating the lashes and can go quite clumpy but if you are using this as a "top coat" mascara I think it is great.

This technique can also save you money, I use a more expensive mascara to do the ground work and make my lashes look long then use a cheaper mascara to add that volume to the roots.
I wouldn't say I would repurchase this mascara but to be honest it takes alot for me to do that anyway because I like to try new things so the only mascara I actually buy again and again is my forever loved Benefit They're Real!!

Loreal 3 in 1 Purifying Micellar Solution Review

I have wanted to try the ever so famous Bio- Derma for a long time now and I just can't get my hands on a bottle so when I heard that Loreal had brought out a dupe I was very excited!!
I am already on my second bottle of this, I pick mine up from Asda and it is £2.50 and even though this is a drugstore dupe I still think that is a really good price, but at the end of the day all it is is glorified water!!

I use this every night to remove my make up then I cleanse with my Emma Hardy Cleansing Balm as I don't like using that to remove my make up. I used to use wipes to remove my make up after listening to Caroline Hirons I decided to change my skin care routine quite dramatically.

So this was one new product in my routine I use two cotton wool pads and soak them in the solution, I use one for my face and one for my eyes. It just seems to dissolve my make up away really gently and effectively. It isn't harsh on my eyes and if you just hold the pad down on your eyes for a few seconds it softens the make up and when you wipe it away it comes off without vigorously scrubbing at your eyes.

This product is a great alternative to face wipes as these just seems to wipe the make up and dirt round your face whereas this seems to pick up all the impurities from the skin. It makes your skin real really clean and soft and for this price I can't complain about anything at all!!
